The Importance of Green Spaces
Interaction with gardens and natural spaces provides various mental, physical and social benefits
Studies have shown that green spaces and trees in parks and streets effectively reduce daily stress and invite a sense of calm just by contemplating the landscape.
The World Health Organization (WHO) says that increasing green spaces, such as parks and public sports facilities, can promote mental and physical health and reduce disease rates.
According to a recent medical study by researchers from the Harvard TH Chan School of Public Health in Boston, increasing green spaces in residential areas of cities helps improve health and psychological response.
The Kingdom, through Vision 2030, is working to increase green spaces through several projects, the most important of which are:
Green Riyadh: The largest urban afforestation project in the world, which is defined as increasing green spaces and implementing gardens and parks within the urban scope to improve the environment within the city and give residents a better lifestyle and quality of life.
To achieve several goals, including:
• Planting more than 7 million trees and shrubs in the city of Riyadh.
• Improving air quality and reducing pollution.
• Reducing the temperature up to 2 degrees Celsius.
• Contribute to reducing the glare of the Earth's temperature by 8-10 degrees Celsius. Afforestation works include planting vital areas in the city such as: Main roads - public parks and neighborhood gardens - valleys - government facilities - mosques - schools - hospitals.
King Salman Park: It is considered one of the most important tributes to the Green Riyadh project and the largest in terms of area, which will be built on an area of more than 16 square kilometers to become the largest city park in the world, and contain extended green areas and more than a million trees.
It aims to contribute to providing various sporting, cultural, artistic, and entertainment options for the residents and visitors of Riyadh, to improve the quality of life in the city and create a vibrant and healthy society.
Since the beginning of the Green Riyadh project until today, we notice a significant change in the urban landscape of the city through the main roads, valleys, and some neighborhoods that have started to develop and improve their gardens.
In turn, Mohammad Al Habib Real Estate Co. sought to develop its current projects and design its upcoming projects to be sociable and environmentally friendly complexes by increasing green spaces and walking paths within the complexes, planting trees around villas, and developing public parks for each residential complex, including green spaces, sports facilities, and children's play areas, with the aim of raising the quality of housing and stimulating health and sports activities for the residents of the complexes.
This can be observed in the upcoming Eyal Al Rabwah Villas project, which contains several gardens with a total area of more than 4,000 square meters, in addition to planting the villas and their facilities, in an effort to obtain the satisfaction of our customers and creating an appropriate humane and healthy environment that keeps pace with their aspirations.
